CHRISTIANS UNITED FOR ISRAEL
Probably the point is lost on many that support for Israel, while remaining a matter of personal choice, continues to be strictly in accord with Scripture.
Now, we know there are those out there who contend scripture has been written by all and sundry, including Fred Nurk on the corner, but we are speaking of The Word of God as documented according to the Judaeo-Christian culture. This Christian culture has extended across the face of the planet and brought vast wealth and prosperity in its path, along with enlightenment and emancipation.
We accept, Western Culture, based as it is upon Christian teachings, has fostered also the complete gamut of traditional sins depicted and described in Scripture.
Nevertheless, it is by reading, studying, pondering and praying over Scripture that we can come closer to an understanding of God, of ourselves and of God’s intentions for us His Children.
William Tyndale was one, but not the first nor the last of those who, in many countries and languages, have sacrificed even to the point of death, to bring the Word of God out of obscurity. We owe them all a great debt of gratitude. We owe perhaps an even greater debt to those who faithfully recorded and preserved the Word through the ages, often with painstaking labour and sacrifice – Moses, Isaiah, Abraham, Paul and John among many many others.
What did they know about the importance of scriptures that we also need to know?
God uses scripture to unmask erroneous thinking, false traditions and sin with its devastating effects. The scriptures, for example, discredit an ancient philosophy that has come back into vogue today – the philosophy that there are no absolute moral standards, that everyman prospers according to his genius, and that everyman conquers according to his strength, and whatsoever a man does is no crime and that when a man is dead that is the end of him.
Scripture tutors us in principles and moral values essential to maintaining civil society, including integrity, responsibility, selflessness, fidelity and charity. In scripture we find vivid portrayals of the blessings that come from honouring true principles, as well as the tragedies that come when individuals and civilisations discard them. Where scriptural truths are ignored or abandoned, the essential moral core of society disintegrates and decay is close behind. In time, nothing is left to sustain the institutions that sustain society.
In the end, the central purpose of all scripture is to fill our souls with faith in God the Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ – faith that they exist; faith in the Father’s plan for our immortality and eternal life; faith in the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, which animates this plan of happiness; faith to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ our way of life; and faith to come to know “the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent” (John 17:3).
While so many revile the Jews and scorn Modern Israel, the simple fact is that we owe them the entire body of Scripture embodied in the Holy Bible. What thanks do we give the Jews?
How quick are the nations to visit their spleen upon the descendants of those who preserved for us this vast and essential code of ethics and morality?
True, the Jews of Modern Israel are no less human in their faults, sins and frailties than their forebears but no more so than the rest of Mankind.
Having in very deed studied Scripture and seeing with eyes to see the signs of our times, we accept blood and fire will engulf Israel, the Middle East and all the Peoples of Mankind.
Perhaps if more had read, studied, pondered and prayed over the scriptures our fates might have been different, but then, Mankind would also have been different.
The Prophets who feature in those very Scriptures have told us of our day and it is plain to be seen they were neither wrong nor exaggerating.
Peace will not come.
The very elect will say He has delayed too long.
Afterward, those who always knew Him will know Peace.
For the sake that the tares must be consumed by fire, we pray for all Mankind in these perilous times and for the sakes of Jews in Modern Israel, we hope all Christians will pause to honour the messengers who brought, down through the ages, these magnificent Scriptures: That they might Unite for Israel.

You come on strong as usual! Go you!!
That’s a nice graphic.
Let me know if this pulls any negative feedback. I know you sometimes have to either censor or edit – this is a pretty fundamentalist posting, huh?
I guess they get angels to make the hard yards. 🙂
