It becomes increasingly difficult to isolate the USA from the debacle now rushing to embrace other nations around the world. In fact, statements about nations in the most dire predicaments can be applied equally and directly to the USA.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\nIn a recent article by Caroline Glick, an editor at Jerusalem Post and working also for the Washington Post, she made clinical statements on the economic \u201cStorm Approaching\u201d several Arab Nations and as well, European Nations including Greece, Italy, Ireland, Portugal and Spain.<\/span><\/p>\n

She said: \u201cIn the event the (Syrian) regime is overthrown, a successor regime will face the sure prospect of economic collapse much as the Egyptian regime does. And in the event that Assad remains in power, he will continue to reap the economic whirlwind of what he has sown in the form of political instability and violence.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat this means is that we can expect continued political turmoil in both countries as they are consumed by debt and tens of millions of people face the prospect of starvation. This political turmoil can be expected to give rise to dangerous if unknowable military developments.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Now let\u2019s take the liberty of paraphrasing Caroline: \u201cIn the event the (Obama) regime is overthrown, a successor regime will face the sure prospect of economic collapse much as the Egyptian regime does. And in the event that Obama remains in power, he will continue to reap the economic whirlwind of what he has sown, in the form of political instability and violence.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

This political turmoil can be expected to give rise to dangerous if unknowable military developments.<\/strong><\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

We cannot know if Caroline is so far removed from political and economic realities that this parallelism has not occurred to her. The one thing we do know is that so great are the global uncertainties that only History can be consulted to envision the usual outcomes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Caroline indicates the dire global consequences, including for the USA, if Greece defaults on its debt. She points also to \u2018non-oil producing nations in the Middle East region\u2019, meaning Arab states dependent upon aid right now in order to feed their people. Obviously the situation is that Europe and the Middle East are virtually in a Basket Case Scenario while America, rather than being able to dash to Europe\u2019s aid, has also begun the common descent.<\/span><\/p>\n

We agree with Caroline that particularly for Israel, economic, political and military instabilities in the Region will require a steady and a determined hand at the helm. We see no such steadiness there but rather the typical in-fighting which historically characterises the Jewish comity in times of threat. At least Nero had the decency to fiddle while Rome burned. Israel sets about slashing the tyres of its best fire engines!<\/span><\/p>\n

So what do we see decanting from this dire broth?<\/span><\/p>\n

We see the wagon, its wheels fallen off, dragging into the ditch where it will continue to lie.<\/span><\/p>\n

The reason is simply the culmination of Human Will run riot.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the West, any demand for immorality and indecency is trumpeted as the inalienable right of a Free People. We find ourselves in accord with Islam in describing these Western excesses as \u2018The Great Satan\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the East, or at least, in the Muslim elements of it, we see the hand of satan denying Mankind ALL rights whatsoever. Obsessive compulsion, graced by disgraceful reference to the Qura\u2019n and Islam\u2026or is it, \u201cgraced by reference to the disgraceful Qura\u2019n and Islam\u201d?, leads to the inevitable denial of the God-given right of each individual to determine their own thought, word and deed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Satanic excess on the one hand and un-godly, oppressive compulsion on the other.<\/span><\/p>\n

The two have no future but to destroy each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then there are the remaining Communist States, particularly China and truthfully Russia, who have no concern about liberty but only of Order\u2026the same un-godly Order, in effect, as Islam.<\/span><\/p>\n

And beyond these the gamut of tyrants and dictators, warlords and mass murderers who make up the dregs of Mankind not identified above.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mutually exclusive and mutually destructive. Driven by the one un-godly desire for dominion\u2026at the express repression of agency, the capacity to exercise personal choice over thought, word and deed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Really, we are looking at a vast and global war on a purely spiritual basis.<\/span><\/p>\n

It looks outwardly as temporal war. Weapons, death, destruction and the tides of chaos and rapine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Behind this outward fa\u00e7ade of mortal combat there is a greater and eternal dimension to the contest. Each individual soul is under threat of destruction and many of the weapons are so subtle that victims willingly submit and succumb.<\/span><\/p>\n

At every turn, Mankind is under attack intended to remove freedom of choice and to deny each individual the saving strength of the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n

The compulsions of Materialism drive households beyond the brink of solvency and the erosions of the fabric of Society, the Family, ensure the West at least will go determinedly to its own destruction.<\/span><\/p>\n

As Western societies become materially weakened, they will continue to be increasingly set upon internally by the corrosive forces of destruction, immorality, chaos and cultural animosity run wild.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eastern societies will have no escape from their own similar shortcomings.<\/span><\/p>\n

And of course, because Humanity always does and because the weapons are there, the genuine article known as War will return to walk with us.<\/span><\/p>\n

We see matters causing pain in Tunisia and Egypt and Syria and Yemen and we do realise the people there are hungry and oppressed and we do suspect their situation has not yet reached its full, flaming dimensions.<\/span><\/p>\n

We do make Caroline\u2019s connections between Greece and the West.<\/span><\/p>\n

We also make the connections with greed and avarice which have brought us here and we know the Sword of Damocles guards the Door.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, Prophets who saw our day said, \u201cFew men will survive.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And in case you were wondering, they meant \u201cfew\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
