Ayn Rand\u2019s \u2018Witches\u2019 are having a field day as they conscientiously cut the floor out from under Civilisation\u2019s and their own, feet. \u201cWhat Civilisation?\u201d, you ask. Read on.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"leaky<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\nIn her book \u2018Atlas Shrugged<\/em>\u2019, Ayn Rand highlighted the antics of purists and left-leaning intellectuals who tripped over each other to utter the most insane lies and self-defeating plaudits to the destructors of the Western Culture of the United States of America.<\/span><\/p>\n

She demonstrated the zeal by which a few sensible men could achieve much but also how rapidly all that could be undone by the public outcries of populists who, in profaning idealists with a work ethic, themselves had nothing directly to lose. She showed also how much Society had to lose and in fact, how much it would lose.<\/span><\/p>\n

She stated, \u201cWhen the lights of New York go out for the last time, the witches will have won.\u201d (sic)<\/span><\/p>\n

WikiLeaks Julian Assange is typical of the kind of person Ayn Rand portrayed, not as a heroic standard bearer of truth but as one seeking fame and notoriety by default, on the backs of the sincere efforts of good men who meant well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, the case in point<\/a>, the leaking of details surrounding the suffering of many who live and are enmeshed in the violence of such conflicts as Iraq and Afghanistan, is typical.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a more heroic age he would have been identified as a proto-quisling and executed out of hand. But then, in this age, the Age of Instantaneous Global Communication, people lose sight of where the actual war is and who the protagonists are and also the means by which they fight.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is not new. Always the prime stratagem has been to exploit your opponent\u2019s weaknesses and we know, the perceived weakness of the West is its pandering to popular public opinion. This was what Ayn Rand was saying.<\/span><\/p>\n

We watched brother Julian speaking softly and quietly as he denounced Crimes Against Humanity and pondered upon his and everyone else\u2019s fate. This is going to be messy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The internecine strife reported upon, in fact recorded by official US military sources, is as nothing compared to the level of blood-letting which has descended unseen upon the Human Race. A few precautionary shootings to enforce a military roadblock, in the face of a vicious cycle of suicide vehicles ranging from motorcycles to trucks. An assortment of pay-backs among the indigenous Iraqis, who in fact can be Arabs, Persians, Kurds or whatever. They have, for thousands of years, conducted themselves thus.<\/span><\/p>\n

WikiLeaks presumes to cast the cultural proclivities of virtual Stone Age cultures as the \u2018fault\u2019 of the West.<\/span><\/p>\n

And the West laps it up!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are just so bad!\u201d They love it!<\/span><\/p>\n

So long as it continues to happen only, Over There.<\/span><\/p>\n

Well. We have news and the comedy in it is the tragedy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Just as the USA and some allies crucified their own soldiers for defending their lifestyle in VietNam, so will this schemozzle pan out here. Already there are soldiers currently serving on the Australian Army who are charged with Crimes on the Battle Field and so also, in the USA, attempts to sacrifice the troops for the conscience of the public weasels, the Julian Assanges of the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

But wait! There\u2019s more!<\/span><\/p>\n

It would have been fine if a Sixties Era culture could have excoriated its Armed Forces over their honest attempts to win fairly in Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran but, as it happens, that was ago and now, there is no Time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Europe and the USA are playing a confidence trick on each other, hoping nobody will blink but no.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Comedy is that Western Civilisation has already failed. Capitalism, which could have continued perhaps for a little while yet, has run its course. In the face of the international financial disaster, the banks are posting record profits, up 40% on last year and yet, Europe and the US are broke!<\/span><\/p>\n

The banks will never fund food to the poor and needy. They only pay dividends to their investors and massive bonuses to their CEOs as rewards for rip-off tactics that cause all the grief in the first place.<\/span><\/p>\n

We accept, Banking Institutions must remain unregulated.<\/span><\/p>\n

What would be the Use?<\/span><\/p>\n

The people who would regulate them are the ones who have sent each failed Nation broke.<\/span><\/p>\n

So the riots and strikes in Downtown France, Italy, Spain, Britain (all of it I think) will spread contagiously around the world. For one thing, people who are not having the excitement of strikes and riots will feel they are missing out! They want some!<\/span><\/p>\n

For a while, it will be sufficient that the police are able to maintain some sort of control, without actually killing innocent protestors, out of hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

After a while, it will require that the Army be the guilty party. They will<\/em><\/strong> be ordered to shoot!<\/span><\/p>\n

Responses, orchestrated by a media desperate to outdo itself, will ramp up the chaos such that, finally no transport will be running. No petrol for cars and planes, no oil for heating, no trucks for food, no jobs for money and no sympathy for each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

Does this weaken the Great Nations of the West?<\/span><\/p>\n

Not at all. Not counting the inane twits who \u2018lose\u2019 their key to the Nuclear War Button! Who can believe in these people! The fact is, those hoping to overwhelm a Western Nation weakened by the above chaos and civil disorder can be counted on to trigger the full, massive response of which those countries remain capable.<\/span><\/p>\n

They are very capable.<\/span><\/p>\n

What level of death being described as Crimes Against Humanity<\/em> in the media today will be so much as Tiddlywinks in the days to come.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s OK! Finish your breakfast. Choke on it if you wish but don\u2019t blame us. Mommy told you to chew thirty times! Right?<\/span><\/p>\n

Visiting old folks in their nursing homes it becomes quite apparent that waiting for death is boring!<\/span><\/p>\n

The probability is that, for fifty percent of the Human Race, death will not come quickly enough. They will not be in Old Folks Homes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many of the rest will be pleased to know, for them death might entail somewhat less personal, individual and unique suffering and they might be spared the drawn out and agonising death that does await half of us including you and me.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wicked Leaks will not save a single life nor diminish the suffering of a single soul. It might be that for a moment, a man\u2019s name will soar in the firmament of public acclaim. Then that too will fade against the rising inferno that awaits the rising generation.<\/span><\/p>\n
