This Internet Filter being proposed by Government will be the cause of more problems than it prevents and can introduce a \u2018thought police\u2019 culture on the one hand and a huge cash-grab on the other.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We have no doubt that this politically correct age will ordain massively restrictive moral judgments upon its people, on the basis, \u201cNo good person would want to see or know that!\u201d Immediately it makes no difference who is good or bad. The power of government takes charge and suppresses information-in the Information Age.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We say, \u201cIf you don\u2019t want to see it, don\u2019t look and if you don\u2019t want to know, remain ignorant. It\u2019s a matter of personal choice, not a matter of government ordained morality.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then there is the \u2018natural\u2019 concomitant of Government. Any function performed by government must entail a beaurocracy and this entails costs. As government must defray public moneys to support beaurocracies, fees must be levied at some point. As the \u2018point\u2019 at which fees may be levied is determined by shiny-bummed, over paid civil servants, they will see no immorality in levying a tax upon ALL Internet Content Providors.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yes. This does mean Moms and Dads wishing to post Family stuff online too.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Meaning, the SITES will be regulated by the \u201cAustralian Communications and Media Authority\u201d, which by extension means THEY will be required to \u2018pay a small fee to the government in order to operate\u2019 because, \u2018we would not want every Tom, Dick and Harry to be pumping stuff into the Internet at Government and Taxpayer expense\u2019.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

THIS Site would not pass.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

THIS site would have no problem being read in China or the United Arab Emirates, as we are currently aware. But THIS site would be shut down by the Australian Federal Police.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
