  • OK ! SO IRAN!

What is the lesson to be learned from events in Iran? That Religion and Politics are oblivious to suffering and that war is the inevitable outcome of both. This does not mean that both are irredeemably evil but the nature of Mortality is to set the individual against his neighbour, opposed in all things, each according to his own will. The War begun in Heaven continues here.

Would you buy a used motorcycle from this man?

Probably this should be written by Rai, as the voice of the Angels but the voice of War might do.

Like voyeurs, young and old, those who can look on at the scanty imagery and news escaping through the media clamp of the religious hegemony. Some scoff as though with indifference to the obvious suffering, both of Iranian society and its individuals. Others grieve the loss of each person, shot down or asphyxiated or whatever. Many use Twitter and associated IT applications to vicariously participate, offering advice and encouragement, they think, to those behind the e-curtain.

The religious and political leaderships of many countries look on also. Many are so distracted by their own pressing situations they feel Iran cannot possibly matter at all.

Some wait for “fall-out”, the definitive consequences of actions now in play.

In the US, President Obama desperately tries not to make his country more hated for taking sides while conscious the USA becomes more despised each moment as he prevaricates.

The Koreans have their own fish to fry. Their gamble is all at sea, for now.

Russia and China see no reason to ease their contemptible pressure on the Free World, on the Middle East or on any other real or imagined competitor, regardless of the cost. In anycase, Russia is a financial basket case and China seeks a war to devour thirty million of its conventional forces.

Students online sob and rant at the beatings of protestors, run and rerun endlessly via Youtube, oblivious to the fact some of the material before their eyes is simply historical coverage of other Muslim antics where this kind of stuff is quite normal. Beatings, decapitations, public hangings are suddenly ‘IN’ again and flash around the world on e-wings as though suddenly ‘new’.

The Truth is, all this is in a day’s work for Humanity. From Burma to Darfur there is no dividing line to separate the suffering. Nor are there differences in the politics of dominion, tyranny and despotism. And where pure politics is not at the root of such suffering we find the inevitable false priests exercising their absolutism.

At least we can be sure that Iran currently represents the cutting edge of Militant Islam’s threat to all Mankind.

We can be confident also that Barak Obama will do nothing to cast himself as a protagonist to any view which might offend.

As polarisation becomes more intense and more widespread, countries will taste for themselves the banal bedlam of street kids claiming martyrdom in the midst of the collapse of Law and Order.

As Nationalism reunites old foes of the West (amazing how that dichotomy exists) and sides are taken, great forces will become aligned.

    We Are For War.

Angels are in the World and as Rai says, “Dragons are not yet GO.” heh
